ASM Free Agency Signings
Kyle Lowry re-signed with the Raptors on a new 3 year near $100 million deal. Kyle knows there is no better place than the city that helped transform him into an All-Star point guard so he’s excited to return and lead this team to not just be a contender but a legitimate force that will reach the NBA Finals. Kyle along with Derozan and fellow ASM client, Serge Ibaka, will form a core three that will prove to be an instant threat in the East and against the best in the West.
Jeff Teague is heading to Minnesota as the starting floor general on a new three year deal. This will be the dawn of a new era for the Timberwolves with the additions of Jimmy Butler, ASM client and newly drafted, Justin Patton, and now Jeff Teague to the existing core of Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. The season looks a lot more interesting with a bright future for this franchise.
Serge Ibaka is excited to return to the Toronto Raptors on a new 3 year $60 million deal. After getting traded to the Raptors mid-season, Serge could not have asked for a better situation where he was part of a perennial eastern conference powerhouse providing his defense. With the flurry of different trades and changes this past offseason, Toronto is set to be a eastern conference finals favorite and Serge will play a major role. This is also a great opportunity for Serge to grow with the city of Toronto that makes him perfectly relateable with his international background.
Jodie Meeks signed a new deal with the Washington Wizards. After a successful career with the Orlando Magic, Jodie wanted to bring his veteran skills and experience to a team that has been to the playoffs and was looking for that next step. The Wizards are a great match with John Wall and Bradley Beal leading the charge and with Jodie bringing some versatility to the team, the Wizards should be a tough competitor throughout the season.
