Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle O’Quinn make Knicks Debut
Porzingis, the fourth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, finished the game with 7 points on 2-6 shooting. He had a great off-the-backboard block as well.
In a post-game interview, Porzingis said “I could have done better. I expect more of myself, so hopefully be better next time. I wanted to show everyone what I can do. That was in my head. I didn’t start good. Later on I refocused.”
O’Quinn appeared much more comfortable in this game. He scored 14 points in 21 minutes on 5 of 7 shooting, while adding 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and even made his only 3-point attempt.
“Being in the home locker room, putting on the white jersey, it felt good,” O’Quinn said after practice Thursday at the MSG Training Center. “My mom was there, she was happy to be there. It was a good feeling being at the Garden. It was definitely a good feeling getting a win at the Garden.”
